Understanding and demonstration

I was reading the section of Unity of Good - “Is there no Death?” - and thinking how difficult it must be for many people to accept this teaching, when I came to this:

With Christ, Life was not merely a sense of existence, but a sense of might and ability to subdue material conditions.  No wonder “people were astonished at his doctrine; for he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.”

Christian Science is the truth which Jesus taught, and for which he was crucified.  Mrs Eddy knew this so well, and she, too, taught with authority.

This teaching that there is no death is the BIG one, isn’t it?  We learn that truth is not understood until demonstrated.  Science and Health (S&H) p. 323:14-16 - We must recollect that Truth is demonstrable when understood, and that good is not understood until demonstrated.

So how are we to demonstrate that there is no death?  Perhaps we have already demonstrated it to some degree.  Students of Christian Science have proved so many times the truth of the scientific statement of being from S&H p. 468 - There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter.  All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all.  Spirit is immortal Truth; matter is mortal error.  Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal.  Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness.  Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual.  They have proved, through healing, that there is no life in matter; hence, to a degree, they have proved that there is no death of matter.
