Flavius Josephus (37-117 A.D. -- born the day
Paul became a Christian) is often mentioned as a source who authenticates the
actual being of Jesus. Scholars argue about that. The reprinted
article which follows the Bible Lens this week (see Christian Science Sentinel September 23-29, 2019) offers a beautiful record on one
person's inspiration in this regard (Chet Manchester – Peace in a shared
