Having spent quite a bit of time studying Psalms recently,
it is interesting to consider Proverbs in the light of Psalms. I think Solomon
was strongly influenced by his father David's output - and blessed by it. Their
writings complement each other, each bringing out unique aspects of God. While the musicality of the Psalms expresses
Soul; the wisdom in Proverbs expresses Mind and Principle. But Psalms is full
of wisdom too, and Proverbs is metrical and rhythmic. While Psalms is spacious,
Proverbs is denser. While Psalms is meant to be sung, Proverbs is perhaps meant
to be pondered. There is a counterpoise.

How wonderful. Thank you Marie.
I so love the way we all get different inspirations from the books.
