Isn’t it wonderful to come to chapter 21 where
John sees the new heaven and new earth; the New Jerusalem. The dark
symbols have been overcome in his thought and we have the light of that New
Jerusalem. New Jerusalem is defined in the Glossary to Science and
Health – “Divine Science; the spiritual facts and harmony of the universe;
the kingdom of heaven or reign of harmony.”
With this chapter Mary Baker Eddy finishes her
interpretation of the Apocalypse, ending with that marvellous interpretation of
the 23rd Psalm and stating that it is the acme of Christian Science as
the Bible reveals it - see pp 572:19 - 578:18.
All of this is most holy, with the Holy City
before us in all its glory.
